As fast as the festive season approaches, broadcasters are leaving no stone unturned to feed the consumer with a variety of content.
Discovery Communication network rides on path-breaking Indian IPs and content partnerships to deliver strong advertising growth in the festive season. The network is launching six Indian IPs including Moonbound, HAWS, Indian Citizen Squad, The Calling, Mallika Dua and Mission Big Cat across the network.
MUMBAI: The Bengali TV market is one of the six leading regional markets in India besides Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, and Malayalam. In terms of the pecking order, the Bangla market stands at fourth position after Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi.
Leading broadcasters like Star India, ZEEL, Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), and Viacom18 have a presence in the market. Joining them soon will be South India’s top pay-TV broadcaster Sun TV Network which is expected to launch its Bangla GEC Sun Bangla by Q4 FY19 or Q1 FY20.
MUMBAI: Banijay Asia, the joint venture (JV) between Deepak Dhar and Banijay Group, has picked up the format rights of Armoza Formats’ singing competition ‘The Four’ for the Indian market.
Developed and produced by Armoza Formats, in ‘The Four’, for the first time on TV, the four superstar-quality finalists will be announced in the season premiere, starting where other music competitions end.
MUMBAI: Hindi GECs will ring in November with the launch of new shows in crucial prime-time slots. As of now, four new shows are scheduled to go-air in November.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET), Zee TV, Sab TV, and Star Bharat have lined-up new shows. Star Plus, on the other hand, will air movies as part of its special property ‘Khul Ke Baat’.
