MUMBAI: TV Today Network has moved its distribution mandate from Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) to the latter’s rival Star India. From 1 November, Star India will be the exclusive distribution agent of TV Today Network channels comprising India Today TV, Aaj Tak, and Tez.

MUMBAI: The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed broadcaster Star India not to disconnect signals to multi system operator (MSO) IndusInd Media and Communications Ltd (IMCL) till next date of hearing. The tribunal has posted the matter under the same head on 29 November.

MUMBAI: The two-judge bench of the apex court with Justices Rohinton Fali Nariman and Navin Sinha dismissed the Star India’s appeal against Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) recent tariff order. The principal area of the argument by the broadcaster was that the pricing of the content cannot be regulated by TRAI as it comes under the Copyright act.
