    Sun TV continues to hold the top position in week 35 of BARC weekly data with 2785.23 (000) AMA. Star Plus with 2708.94  (000) AMA bagged the second spot.  Star Maa, which was at the second spot last week, stood at the third spot with 2494.98 (000) AMA. At the fifth position in Week 34, Sony SAB claimed the fourth spot with 2042.56 (000) AMA. Colors which was at the fourth spot last week took the fifth spot in week 35 with 2003.45 (000) AMA. Star Vijay claimed the 6th spot with 1979.53 (000) AMA, followed by Star Utsav with 1897.16 (000) AMA. Zee Telugu maintained the 7th spot with 1635.83 (000) AMA, followed by Zee TV with 1531.98 (000) AMA. Zee Kannada bagged the 10th spot with 1517.59 (000) AMA.

  • DTH operators spar with broadcasters over pay channels on DD Free Dish

    Private direct to home (DTH) operators have renewed their demands to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to act against broadcasters who are offering pay channels to Prasar Bharati's free DTH platform DD Free Dish. In the recent past, Dish TV, Bharti Telemedia, and Tata Sky have written to TRAI to look into the issue and restrain pay broadcasters from offering pay channels to DD Free Dish. The TRAI is yet to take any action in the matter.

  • ICC T20 World Cup: 70% TV ad inventory sold; Star charging Rs 14-15 lakh for 10 secs

    While there is still more than a month for the ICC T20 World Cup to kick off, official broadcaster Star Sports has already sold 70 per cent of the television ad inventory of the tournament, e4m has learnt from sources in the industry. A total of 45 matches will be played over 29 days in UAE and Oman from October 17. The final match will be held in Dubai on November 14.

    Content distribution platform Tata Sky has seen a flat growth in consolidated revenue at Rs 4,682.21 crore for the fiscal ended 31st March 2021 as against Rs 4,680.88 crore in the previous fiscal. Total income saw a marginal decline at Rs 4,704.83 crore compared to Rs 4,722.72 crore a year ago.
