• Sun TV topples Star plus in week 33: BARC

    Sun TV toppled Star Plus and emerged as the leading channel across genres in week 33, according to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India. The channel registered 2651.23 (000s) AMA. Star Maa grabbed the second spot this week with 2625.34 (000s) AMA followed by Star Plus on the third spot with 2595.11(000s) AMA.

    TV Today Network (TVTN) board has approved the proposal to rename Aaj Tak Tez as Good News Today. The new name will be implemented from September 2021. The company has got the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) approval for the same.
    "Please be informed that the Board of Directors of the Company has today approved the proposal to change the name of one of the Hindi news channels of the Company from 'AAJ TAK TEZ' to 'GOOD NEWS TODAY'," TV Today said in a filing to the BSE.

  • Prasar Bharati allocates MPEG-4 slots to Vertent Samachar Plus and FM News

    The Public broadcaster Prasar Bharati has granted two vacant MPEG-4 slots for its DD Free Dish DTH platform during the 55th e-auction, which was held on 23 August.


    Hindi news and current affairs channels Vertent Samachar Plus 24X7 and FM News won the bids, and the channels will be available from September 1st on the free DTH platform.
