• 'Dus ka Dum' amps up sample size to 1.5 million

    MUMBAI: The debut TV show of actor Salman Khan nearly a decade ago, is back with a bang but promises to notch up the offering. After nine years, he will be back on screen on Sony Entertainment Television (SET) with Dus ka Dum. While the initial seasons depended on the entertainment factor, SET EVP and business head Danish Khan said that this time it will be socially driven. Several heads were put together to decide the right set of questions.
  • Hathway reports improved numbers

    BENGALURU: The demerged Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd (Hathway) reported standalone profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 12.62 crore (8.7 per cent of operating revenue) for the quarter ended 31 March 2018 (Q4 2018, quarter under review), 47.1 per cent lower as compared PAT of Rs 23.87 crore (17.2 per cent of operating revenue) in the immediate trailing quarter Q3 2018 (q-o-q).  It may be noted that Hathway’s numbers for Q4 2017 include both cable television and broadband numbers and hence cannot be compared with Q4 2018 revenues that include only broadband revenue
  • Navin Khemka appointed CEO of Mediacom South Asia

    Mumbai: MediaCom today announced the appointment of Navin Khemka as CEO of its South Asia operations effective July 16th, 2018. Navin takes on the role from Debraj Tripathy who will be leaving the organisation to explore new opportunities outside the group. He will be based in Delhi (Gurugram) and report into the incoming GroupM South Asia CEO Sam Singh and Mark Heap , CEO Mediacom  Asia Pacific.

    The Broadcast Research Council India’s (BARC) released their Week 20 data and South Indian GEC Channels Colors Kannada, Asianet, and SUN TV continue to lead the list in their respective languages. Star Maa which lost its first slot to ZEE Telugu in Week 19 has regained its position. Three south Indian channels found their slots in the Top Channels of across genres. SUN TV and Zee Telugu were already in the Week 19 list, Star Maa made its way to the Week 20 list, clinching 9th position with 490339 impressions (000s).
