    Star India is selling the digital sponsorship for Vivo IPL 2018 at a whopping 60-70% markup this year as compared to 2018. The rate for the Co-Presenting Sponsor is said to be around Rs 50 crore as compared to Rs 30 crore last year.

    MUMBAI: The ministry of information and broadcasting (MIB) is considering seven licence applications of regional TV channels.

    The companies whose licence applications are under consideration include Yahova TV, Asianet News Tamil, Siddharth TV, 6TV, 6TV Telangana, Bharat Today and Jaya TV.

  • Siti Cable to push consumers to new TRAI tariff scheme by phased shutoffs in Kolkata

    MUMBAI: Essel group promoted multi-system operator (MSO) Siti Cable has planned to blackout TV screens in Kolkata in a phased manner to get non-compliant subscribers to transition to the new TRAI tariff regime. While around 80 per cent of the MSO's 14 lakh subscribers were still to pick their pay channels from an a-la-carte list, only 15 per cent of these concerned subscribers will face the first phase of the blackout.
