  • DTH players eliminate network capacity fees on FTA channels

    MUMBAI: Major DTH players like Tata Sky, Dish TV and Sun Direct have removed the Network Capacity Fee (NCF) on free-to-air (FTA) channels above the required 100 channels, according to a report by Telecom Talk.

Bhushan Kumar's T-Series along with producing films and music videos have ventured out into locking scripts for web-shows and web-films. The new venture will be headed by one of the oldest confidante of T-Series, Mr. Vinod Bhanushali, who is currently the President- Media, Marketing, Publishing (TV) and Music Acquisitions at T-Series.

  • Reliance Entertainment acquires motion picture, webseries rights for Vineet Bajpai's Harappa trilogy

    Anil D. Ambani owned Reliance Entertainment acquires rights for motion picture, web-series, gaming and merchandising of Vineet Bajpai's Harappa Trilogy. It will soon be adapted into major motion-pictures or a multi-season original web-series. The company has recently won wide acclaim with the success of their original web-series Sacred Games, another book-adaptation.

  • Q3 2019: BAG Films Television and Radio Dhaamal profits up

    BENGALURU: The Anurradha Prasad-led BAG Films and Media Ltd (BAG Films) reported 38.1 per cent higher year-on-year (y-o-y) consolidated revenue for the quarter ended 31 December 2018 (Q3- 019, period or quarter, under review) at Rs 48.67 crore as compared to Rs 33.94 crore in the corresponding prior year quarter.

  • Comcast, Sony in the running for ZEEL stake?

    MUMBAI: In the latest financial results, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) MD and CEO Punit Goenka mentioned that the company has narrowed down its search for a partner to divest up to 50 per cent stake in the company, an announcement it made in November 2018. Now, according to an unconfirmed news report by CNBC TV18, the ZEEL promoters  are in the US reportedly negotiating with  Comcast and Sony  for a stake sale.
